WaSender API is a powerful WhatsApp service that lets you send and receive WhatsApp messages programmatically. By connecting it to Chariow, you can automate important communications with your customers—like order notifications, product updates, or follow-up messages—straight through WhatsApp.
To connect WaSender API to your Chariow shop and automate message sending, you first need to get your WaSender API keys.
Instant communication: Reach your customers right where they spend most of their time: WhatsApp.
Automated notifications: Send personalized messages after key events (product purchase, course sign-up, etc.) with no manual work.
Customer engagement: Build a stronger relationship with your customers by giving them a direct, convenient way to connect.
Time saver: Automate repetitive communication tasks so you can focus on creating and selling.
To get started, you need to log in to your WaSender API account and set up a WhatsApp session if you haven't already.
Log in to your WaSender API account. (You need to create an account if you don’t have one yet.)
Go to session creation:

On your WaSender dashboard, go to the "Sessions" section.
Click "Create Session" (or its equivalent) to set up a new WhatsApp session.
Set up your WhatsApp session:

Session Name (1): Give this session a name so you can identify it (for example, "New Clients", "Client Support").
Phone Number (2): Enter the WhatsApp phone number you want to connect.
Enable Account Protection (3): Turn this on to help avoid restrictions by controlling sending frequency.
Enable Message Logging (4): If enabled, full details of sent and received messages will be saved.
Read Incoming Messages (5): If enabled, incoming messages will be marked as read automatically.
Auto Reject Calls (6): If enabled, incoming calls will be automatically rejected.
Always Online (7): If enabled, your session will always show as online to your contacts.
Enable Webhook Notifications (8) (Optional): If enabled, events will be sent to the webhook URL.
Click "Create & Connect Session" (9) to finish creating and connecting your session.
Scan the QR Code to finish WhatsApp connection:

Once your session is created, a QR Code will be displayed on the page.
Open your WhatsApp app on your phone.
Go to "Settings" > "Linked devices" > "Link a device".
Scan the QR Code displayed on the WaSender interface with your phone. The connection will happen automatically.
Find your API key:

Once your session is created and connected, go to your "Dashboard" or to the session management section.
Find your API Key and Copy it. Keep this info safe, you’ll need it for the next step.
Now that you have your API key and your WaSender session set up, let's connect WaSender API to Chariow.
On your Chariow dashboard, head to the Automations section.
Click on "Integrations".
Find "WaSender API" in the list of available tools (scroll down if needed) and click the "Connect" button.

A login page will open, asking you to fill out the following info:

Account Name * : Give a name to identify this integration in Chariow (for example, "WaSender API - Marketing", "WaSender API - Support"). This will help if you manage several WaSender API integrations.
WaSender API Key * : Paste your API Key for WaSender (got in Step 1) into this field.
Note: WaSender Instance ID is handled automatically in the background when the API Key is valid and the session is connected.
Finish the integration by clicking the yellow "Connect" button.
Once the operation is successful, a confirmation message will appear showing that the WaSender API is now connected. You can then use it in your automations (Workflows and Pulses).
Once WaSender API is connected, you can use it in Chariow's automation features to trigger the sending of WhatsApp messages:
Workflows: Create automated sequences (e.g.: send a WhatsApp welcome message after a purchase, a delivery confirmation, or a reminder).
Pulses: Send events (sales, new registrations, etc.) to the WaSender API in real time to trigger external actions based on those events.
We invite you to check the articles dedicated to Workflows and Tasks to get the most out of WaSender API and create powerful automations.
