Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an essential security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. It keeps your personal data and your funds safe from unauthorized access, even if your password gets compromised.
After entering your password when logging in or taking action in your Wallet , you'll need to enter a unique and temporary code generated by an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
Unique and temporary code: This code changes every 30 seconds and is unique to your account. That way, it blocks any unauthorized logins, even if someone managed to get your password.
Double security for your account: For security reasons, your account is managed with two separate types of 2FA, both generated by your authenticator app.
2FA for the main account (account): This code is required to log into your entire Axa Zara ecosystem, including your Chariow account.
2FA for the Wallet (wallet): This code is needed for any sensitive actions in your Wallet, like withdrawal validation, adding accounts, or any other financial operation.
To keep your stuff safe, you need to turn on two-factor authentication on your Wallet. For that, you'll need an authenticator app like Google Authenticator (available on iOS and Android).
Copy your Wallet account key: When you log into the Axa Zara Wallet for the first time, you'll see a unique account key. Copy it.
Add the key in the app: Open your authentication app. Scan the QR code displayed or enter the key you just copied manually.
Make sure to save it in a safe and secure place, so you can use it again if you ever lose the app.
Finish activation: Enter the code generated by the app to finish turning on 2FA.
Once you're set up, every future transaction on your Wallet will need your one-of-a-kind 2FA code.
To keep your account safe, you need to turn on two-factor authentication on your Account. For this, you'll need an authenticator app like Google Authenticator (available on iOS and Android).
Copy your key: In your Axa Zara account security settings, pick the window for two-factor authentication. Click on activate and you'll see a unique account key. Copy it.
Add the key in the app: Open your authenticator app. Scan the QR code shown or enter the key you copied manually.
Finish activation: Type the code generated by the app to finish activation.
Once it's on, every time you log in you'll need the password + 2FA code. You can switch it off whenever you want.
Wrong code used: Make sure to use the code made specifically for the wallet when you withdraw, and the one for the account when logging in.
Expired code: Codes only last for 30 seconds. Enter it quickly before it expires.
2FA not enabled for the Wallet: Make sure to turn on 2FA specifically for your Wallet, and save it carefully, since the main account’s 2FA isn’t enough for withdrawals.
Wrong time syncing: Make sure your phone's time is set automatically. Even a small time difference can make the codes invalid.
