To make sure everyone has a safe and legal environment, Chariow forbids selling or promoting certain products and activities on its platform. This list keeps changing to follow regulations and payment network policies.
The products and activities below aren’t allowed on Chariow.
Selling physical products isn’t allowed on Chariow, which is only focused on digital products and services.
Chariow doesn’t allow any illegal, misleading, or non-compliant activities. This includes (but isn’t limited to):
Fraud and malware: Spam, phishing software, malicious bots, deceptive business practices.
Illegal activities: Illegal products or services, drug paraphernalia, substances meant to mimic illegal drugs, marijuana dispensaries and related businesses.
Get-rich-quick schemes: Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes (MLM), chain letters, services (get-rich-quick systems, business/investment opportunities).
Counterfeiting and rights infringement: Counterfeit/replica goods, unlicensed exclusive content, reselling private label products.
Services related to money management or financial transactions are not allowed:
Unregulated transactions: Sales of unregulated cryptocurrencies, currency exchange, access to non-compliant exchange platforms.
Banking and payment services: Money transfers, money service businesses, electronic transfers or money orders, check cashing, billing services, quasi-cash or stored value.
Brokerage and advice: Security brokerage, mortgage consulting, collection agencies, credit card and ID theft protection.
Other financial services: Lawyers specialized in bankruptcies, bail bonds, extended warranties.
Some categories of products and services are prohibited because of their sensitive nature or the risks they pose:
Adult content: Any sexually explicit or pornographic content, escort services, dating services.
Gambling: All types of gambling, whether legal or illegal (lotteries, sports betting, online gambling).
Regulated products and services: Products or services subject to age or legal restrictions, tobacco products.
Health products and services: Pseudo-pharmaceutical products (anti-aging pills, sexual stimulants, etc.).
This category includes other types of services and prohibited business practices.
Consultation and fortune-telling services: Fortune tellers.
Sales and marketing services: Door-to-door sales, telemarketing, negative response marketing techniques.
Travel and accommodation services: Cruises, timeshares, centralized booking services.
Other: Digital products that bypass security protections, fake digital accounts or identities, pay-to-bid or penny auctions, shipping/transfer brokers, offering big discounts, etc.
This list is maintained separately from the Chariow Terms of Use. Chariow tries to keep this list updated. However, because of the unpredictable nature of payment network rules, laws, and relationships with payment providers, this list can change suddenly and without notice. Changes to this list take effect right away.
