The MCP protocol is an innovation that lets AI assistants (like Claude or ChatGPT) access your store data directly, so you don’t have to do all that tedious copy-pasting. When you turn on this connection, your AI can instantly check out and analyze your products, sales, and customers to give you ultra-personalized answers.
Products: Ask your AI to list or analyze your whole catalog.
Sales: Get reports on your sales performance.
Customers: Check out your buyers’ data to better understand your audience.
Follow these steps to connect your Chariow store to your AI assistant:
Log in to your Chariow interface.
In the left sidebar menu, click the "Automations" tab.
Select the "MCP Connection" card.
Find the "MCP Server URL" section and copy the provided URL (e.g. https://mcp.chariow.com/public).
Use this URL in your third-party tool.
Once setup is complete, the link will appear under the "Active Connections" section.
Chariow provides specific instructions depending on the assistant you're using. Click the links below to access the dedicated guides:

ChatGPT ➜ Check out the dedicated article
Other assistants ➜ Check out the documentation
If you don't use Claude or ChatGPT, Chariow is still compatible with the entire MCP ecosystem.
For developers: Use the URL to connect Chariow to IDEs (like Cursor) or to custom scripts via the MCP SDK.
Manual setup: Add a new server in your client, choose the type "Remote/HTTP" and paste the URL provided by Chariow.
Keeping your data safe is a priority. When you connect an assistant through MCP:
You explicitly authorize the sharing of your data (products, sales, customers, discounts) with the selected third-party service.
The data is transmitted securely and is only used to respond to your specific requests.
We recommend checking the privacy policy of the AI assistant used (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
