As a creator on Chariow, one of the keys to your growth is reaching a global audience. YouTube has rolled out an automatic dubbing (multilingual dubbing) feature that translates and dubs your original videos using artificial intelligence.
This tool lets you offer your courses, tutorials, and product demos to new markets without having to manually record new audio tracks.
Automatic dubbing is an innovative feature that generates new audio tracks in different languages. These tracks use a synthetic voice that reproduces the style, rhythm, and tone of the original content, while being translated by AI.
Feature: Adding multilingual audio tracks to an existing YouTube video.
Control: You keep full control. The generated tracks can be downloaded, reviewed, edited, or deleted at any time.
Accessibility: Viewers can choose their preferred language directly via the YouTube video settings (gear icon > Audio track).
Using automatic dubbing on your course, tutorial, or product presentation videos comes with several strategic benefits:
Market expansion: You unlock international markets (French-speaking Africa, Latin America, Europe, etc.) without additional registration fees.
Improved learning experience: Students can take your courses in their native language, improving their understanding and engagement.
Time saving: The dubbing process, traditionally long and expensive, is carried out quickly by AI.
SEO: The translated content is indexed by YouTube and Google in the new languages, increasing the visibility of your Chariow products.
Automatic dubbing is enabled directly in your YouTube Studio interface (this option is available for eligible channels):
Go to YouTube Studio: Log in to your YouTube Studio account.
Select the video: Go to the "Content" section and click on the course or tutorial video you want to translate.
Go to the "Subtitles" section: In the side menu of the video edit page, click on "Subtitles".
Open the "Dubbing" tab: The dubbing option may appear under the subtitles tab or in a section dedicated to multilingual dubbing.
Request the translation: Select the source language (the original video language) and request the generation of the audio track in the desired target language (for example, from English to Spanish).
Review: Once the dubbing is generated by AI, YouTube will give you the option to review the audio track. It is strongly recommended to check the accuracy of the content and tweak any complex wording.
Publish: After approval, the new audio track goes live and viewers can select it.
Eligibility: The feature is being rolled out gradually. Make sure your channel and content are eligible with YouTube.
Available languages: The number of languages available for automatic dubbing is constantly evolving. Check the current list provided by YouTube.
Quality: Even though the AI works well, it may not catch every cultural or technical nuance. A human review is essential, especially for professional training or sensitive topics.
Chariow usage: For students to access the dubbed video, they’ll need to select the desired audio track after starting the video hosted in your Chariow course space.
