Why Hide a Customer Review?
Hiding a review is a useful action if you encounter any of the following situations:
Inappropriate Review: The review contains offensive, insulting, or unprofessional language.
Irrelevant Review: The review does not concern the product purchased, but rather a delivery issue with a third-party service, or a comment unrelated to your store.
Spam or Advertisement: The review contains a link or promotion for a competing product or service.
False Information: The review contains incorrect allegations.
By hiding these reviews, you protect your brand's image and ensure that visitors see comments that are helpful and constructive.
Steps to Hide a Review
Access the "Reviews" Section: In the main menu of your dashboard, click on "Reviews."
Select the Review to Hide: Click on the review you wish to hide. A pop-up window will open, displaying the details of that review.
Hide the Review: In this detail window, click on the red "Hide Review" button (1) located at the bottom.
Once hidden, the review will no longer be publicly visible on your store's page.
The Impact of Hiding on Transparency
It is important to note that hiding a review does not change the overall customer satisfaction percentage for your store.
Ensured Transparency: Even if a review is hidden, it is still counted in the calculation of the overall rate of positive and negative reviews. For example, if you have two positive reviews and two negative reviews, the displayed customer satisfaction rate will remain at 50%, even if you hide one of the negative reviews.
This approach ensures that your store's rating is always a faithful reflection of your customers' actual experience, while giving you the necessary control to maintain a healthy and constructive comment space.
